I have been listening to Prometheus since few months and I am very enthusiastic about the open, dynamic, and detailed sound it delivers.
I have built baffles and subwoofers as different units using birch plywood and MDF, respectively.
After having tried with a solid state amplification, I recently acquired a Joplin kit. This was a big improvement: the Prometheus system works magnificently with the Joplin, there is plenty of power and dynamics. Basses are very clean and tight, and voices are just wonderful!
Prometheus+Joplin are a very good (and cheap) opportunity to taste the sound of open baffles speakers driven by DHT amplification.

The source is DIY cd player based on the Philips CD-Pro engine, which feeds, directly from I2S bus, a non oversampling dac.
